# Manage your account and security

> Update your ClearPolicy profile, change your password, set your preferred language, and enable two-factor authentication for sign-in security.

Your account settings control your own ClearPolicy profile and sign-in security. These settings are separate from organization settings, which affect your whole team.

## Update your profile

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open profile settings">
    Click **Settings**, then select **Profile**.

  <Step title="Update your details">
    Change your name, email address, profile image, or preferred language.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save changes">
    Click **Save**. If you change your language, ClearPolicy refreshes so the new language appears right away.

  If you change your email address, ClearPolicy may ask you to verify the new address before it is fully active.

## Change your password

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open password settings">
    Click **Settings**, then select **Password**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter your current password">
    Type your current password, then enter and confirm your new password.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save the new password">
    Click **Save password**.
  </Step>

## Enable two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication helps protect your account by asking for a code from an authenticator app when you sign in.

  <Step title="Open two-factor settings">
    Click **Settings**, then select **Two-factor authentication**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Start setup">
    Click **Enable**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Scan the setup code">
    Use your authenticator app to scan the QR code, or enter the setup key manually.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save recovery codes">
    Store your recovery codes somewhere safe. You can use them if you lose access to your authenticator app.
  </Step>

  Keep your recovery codes somewhere you can access later. If you lose your authenticator app and your recovery codes, contact support for help getting back into your account.
